Wave Interference

Constructive Interference-  occurs at any location along the medium where the two interfering waves have a displacement in the same direction

Destructive Interference-  a type of interference that occurs at any location along the medium where the two interfering waves have a displacement in the opposite direction

Dual pin interference is shown here, it involves two spots of oscillation and interfering wave patterns.

In this video on the right, the constructive interference occurs between the two circles at a 45 degree angle and moves away together.

The destructive interference occurs when the waves bounce off each other in the middle.

Double Slit Interference- Interference with three barriers and two slits that both shrink the wave’s wavelength and increase its amplitude
